We, the undersigned residents of Alberta, petition the Legislative Assembly to urge the Government of Alberta to withhold further funding for the new Alberta Children’s Hospital and the infrastructure required to support it, until:
1) adequate long-term planning is undertaken
for the NorthWest Calgary region;
2) the Calgary Health Region releases
the long overdue Programs and Services report, specifying
what services
the Children’s Hospital will provide within the Child Health Network;
3) the newly constituted Calgary Health Region
board reviews and ratifies the plan; and
4) the new City Council reviews and ratifies
the plan.
